XC racing has changed a lot in the last few years, tracks are still fast but the courses include more and more technical features. The new Yeti ASR is right at the cutting edge of bikes built for speed and gnar, with some actual pedalling thrown in.
Head angles might still sound steep by enduro standards, but for a fast, light, all-out XC race bike, 66.5° is slack. Suspension travel has crept up to 120mm front and back. This T3 spec bike uses the latest Sid Ultimate fork, with 35mm stanchions. Both the fork and SIDLuxe shock have 3 position compression damping switches, with descend, trail and solid lock out options. The T3 model has remote lock out.
SRAM XO Eagle Transmission provides solid, accurate shifting under load, and the new ASR frame features future-proof configurable cable ports. The frame also includes two sets of bottle cage mounts, and Yeti have steered away from their trademark Infinity link in the interests of light weight.
