For those of us who don't have a bike park we can pedal to the top of, the new SB165 is a bike to consider if you want something with a playful feel, with loads of travel and the added stability of a 29" front wheel.
Shorter chain stays put the forward bias a bit more on the back wheel to balance and exploit the benefits of mixed wheels. The 63.5-degree headtube gives stability in the rough and steep, with the 44mm fork-offset to reduce wheel flop when climbing that's become the standard for 29er enduro forks.
C2 spec bikes have a great build kit with no weak links. What really sets the new SB165 out against other bikes around this price is Yeti's attention to detail and the quality of the frames. Little things like how the cables go into the frame aren't the sort of things that leap out of a spec sheet, but as an owner, you'll appreciate well into your ownership.
